About me..

Welcome. As you have probably guessed by now, my name is Dan Wilkinson. I am twenty-four and live in Shropshire, England. I am in the third year of university studying for a BA (Hons) in Business Management at the University of Wolverhampton.

For work I "do websites", either design or coding on a freelance basis. At present I am focusing more on a new venture, where I am co-founder and site architect for business focused video website, myenterprise.tv. View the other projects I'm doing too.

When not working, I can usually be found listening to music of pretty much any genre or at the local bar, watching various live bands and just "chillaxing" with my family and friends. I also enjoy the occasional video game, mostly from the point and click genre (Broken Sword, Monkey Island etc).

About the site..

After countless blogs and never actually updating them after two or three posts, I decided to create a social media portal type site. As you can see on the homepage I have the Twitter, Twitpic and last.fm streams along with the odd video I upload. No doubt I will be adding more streams to the homepage in the future. I do blog occasionally and you can see a link to the latest entry at the top of every page on the site.

The sites domain registrar and hosting is provided by the guys at NameCheap as well as 123-reg. It is coded in PHP and makes use of the very awesome, jQuery (used to make the corners rounded and various other features throughout the site).
